Mr. Railman has spent the last week traveling the globe in search of spiritual enlightenment and purpose in life. After four days of travel, he has returned home to Dayton knowing his purpose: to defeat lackluster and boring sandwiches and rid the world of hunger!
To celebrate Mr. Railman’s return, today’s special is the classic Railman! We have grilled pastrami, salami, turkey, and bacon with brown mustard and cheddar cheese on marbled rye bread, served with a fryer lotto, fountain drink, and cookie on the side for $10.99!
Soups today are Friday Favorite Tomato Basil, Broccoli Cheddar, and Spicy Black Bean as well as Chili, Chicken Noodle, and Lobster Bisque!
Don’t forget – today is Free Cookie Friday!
PS – The Deli will be closed tomorrow (Saturday, January 28th, 2017) for a private event and we will reopen for regular business hours on Monday, January 30th, 2017! Have a great weekend Dayton!
We are hoping that you are recovering from your New Year’s Eve celebrations and that you’re still holding strong with your resolutions. Please enjoy the rest of your day, and we will be back in action tomorrow, Monday, January 2nd, 2017 at 11:00am!
“A just-married couple on the way to their reception became trapped in traffic Saturday evening after a multiple-vehicle accident shut down the highway for nearly two hours.
Jeff and Rebecca Payne of Centerville celebrated their nuptials in Beavercreek and were on the way to their reception at Top of the Market, 32 Webster St., in downtown Dayton. That’s when they were stuck in the crash that took awhile for crews to clean up. Only one person was taken to a local hospital and no injuries were serious.
The couple used the time to share their first dance as a married couple, and strangers were taking photos and using the hashtag #rescuethepaynes on social media sites, including Facebook and Twitter. You can watch the couple’s special moment captured by videographer Levi Curby above.”

Only one more month to go! Join The Deli & Top of the Market on Tuesday, December 13th, 2016 to make fleece tie-blankets to donate to St Vincent de Paul, Dayton Children’s Hospital, and other local charities.
If you have never made a tie-blanket before, no worries! As long as you know how to use scissors and how to tie knots, you can make these blankets! There will be plenty of people here that would be more than happy to show you how!
This is our fourth year hosting the event, and to date we have made 1,724 blankets for our community with the goal to hit 2,000 blankets by the end of the year! The event is open to all ages and is free to attend, with donations of funds, fabric, and scissors always appreciated!
The Deli & Top of the Market will be providing the food, Corey from Party Pleasers will be providing the tunes, Jay from Liftoff Entertainment will be providing the photo booth!
Don’t forget to join Mark and Jeremy at Fifth Street Brewpub just one month from today as they will be the guest bartenders! Fifth Street Brewpub’s Guest Bartending program is an excellence opportunity to come and learn about The Blanket Program while enjoying a few of Fifth Street’s delicious brews! A portion of sales from the restaurant will be donated to The Blanket Program, so make sure to bring some friends!
